Salt Spray
For a simple salt spray add water to an recycled spray bottle and add a couple of tablespoons of salt. Pink salt, plain salt any really choice is yours. Just play around with the amount but you want it salty but not too salty.
Please don’t use a product from the shelf as will have other ingredients that will create build up within the locs. It also inhibits the ability for us to stitch the hair as it makes it too hard.
You can also add essential oils to the mix for freshness and scalp health.
Itchy Relief Spray
If you get a case of the crazy itches add to water in a spray bottle with peppermint and chamomile oil. Soak the scalp and leave in for a cooling effect. Hydrosols from these plants are beautiful too. I have heard chamomile tea once cooled is good too poured over the head.
Nit Spray
For a family with small children its easy to become exposed to nits. I like to use a spray bottle with water with the addition of essential oils like Tea Tree oil and Peppermint oil. Used daily a quick spray on the head in the morning. We used to leave it right next to the tooth brushes so the little ones could use themselves ;)
