Our main studio is in the Heart of Newcastle, a place dedicated to the art of Dreadlocks and Hair Creativity. Its where all the magic begins , where clients come to have Dreadlocks installed and cared for but also people come to learn the art of loc’in Hair.

Here we offer all things Dreadlocks, washing, installing, maintenance, Human Hair, Wool and Synth Locs, extensions, permanent or temporary. Our specialty is in repairing if you have a problem with your locs we are confident that we can fix almost anything.

Own Hair Dreadlocks

The making of dreadlocks is all about setting down a good foundation for natural matting to occur. Without the use of products of any type, just the hair to stitch together and make lush locs.

A foundation for growth and plumping.

Allowing the dread to self mat todo as it should with minimal input. Our aim is always todo less allowing dreads to be themselves, to take on their own character as all types of hair respond differently.

Yet of course if you’d rather a neater loc we are happy to make super tubular locs when maintenance is offered regularly.

I often think of a loc as a sponge, soft and plump yet free to mat and move internally. To have the space to move and not be so ridged that it can’t. We make locs that are alittle softer than most but also having the internal structure to maintain a good foundation.

Our locs are made by comb and crochet hook and as ever treat every single head uniquely and with absolute care. All types of hair are considered when making as curly hair responds differently to straight hair for example. Therefore we treat each one accordingly. Fine hair to thick hair, oily to dry all types considered all types treated differently.
